The College of Pharmacy and UK Natural Products Consortium invite you to a joint Drug Discovery & Development/Natural Products symposium. The goal of this meeting is create a sense of community and to present a convenient local format for exchanging ideas and developing synergies.
 
The Drug Discovery & Development and Natural Products Consortium Symposium will be Thursday, August 10 in the Lee T. Todd Jr. Building (College of Pharmacy), Room 124.

There is no cost to attend but registration is required, deadline to register is August 1.
 
All postdoctoral associates and graduate students are invited to participate. This event offers you two different opportunities to present your research.
 
Oral Presentation
There will be four time slots for graduate students and/or post-docs selected to present 10 minute talks (an additional 5 minutes will be allowed for questions). This is a great opportunity for gaining experience in giving a succinct description of your research in front of a broad audience.  Abstracts will be chosen based on topic and quality of content by the symposium planning committee.  All graduate students and post-docs are encouraged to apply by submitting an abstract that summarizes the background, hypothesis, methods, results, and conclusions of what is to be presented.  There will be a 300 word limit for the body of the abstract (title, authors, funding source, etc. will not be included in the limit).  Submission deadline has been extended to July 16, 2017, at midnight via email to Catina at cross2@uky.edu.
 
Poster Presentation
All graduate students and post-docs are encouraged to present a poster. Please upload a brief poster abstract (include title and authors) on the registration site. Deadline for registration and abstract submission is August 1, 2017.
