Kentucky Research Data Center Information Session

The Kentucky Research Data Center (KRDC) is now open on UK’s campus. The facility offers researchers with approved projects the opportunity to access restricted data from the Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Center is located in Suite 125A of the Gatton College of Business and Economics.
Because the KRDC is a high security federal statistical research data center, those interested in conducting work at the facility must undergo a project review and obtain security clearance to access the Center.

To help UK’s researchers who are interested in developing research projects using the KRDC, James Ziliak, KRDC’s executive director, and Charles Hokayem, U.S. Census Bureau KRDC administrator, will hold two informational sessions on the types of data available and the policies and procedures governing access for the UK campus community.

The first session will be held Sept. 19, 3-4 p.m., Gatton Building, Room 435UV.

The second session will be held Sept. 22, 9-10 a.m., Gatton Building, Room 311.

We cordially invite UK faculty and graduate students with an interest in the data products of the KRDC to attend one or both of these sessions.

For more information, please contact Charles Hokayem at 323-7075 or via email at charles.hokayem@census.gov. You may also send inquiries via email to krdc@uky.edu.
