Cardiovascular Research Day

Trainee Events During Research Day

  • Career Development Session – All trainees are invited to this opportunity to hear from seasoned investigators in multiple scientific fields.

  • Oral Presentations – Five trainee speakers will be selected from abstracts submitted by September 29.

  • Research Blitz – This one minute, one slide presentation is open to all trainees.  If you participate in this event, you must rehearse your presentation.  One minute in not very long to communicate your science!  You must register for this event and be willing to submit your slide a few days prior to the presentation.

  • Judged Poster Session - Submit your abstract to participate in the judged poster session.  The posters will be judged in 4 categories – Fellows, Graduate Students, Staff and Undergraduates.  Cash prizes will be given for the top presentations.  Click here for more information on the poster session including recommended poster dimensions.

  • Networking Opportunities – Cardiovascular Research Day is well known for being a great space for trainees to polish their networking skills.  This year, we will again offer networking “encouragement” to trainees in the form of a networking game.  If you turn in a completed game, you will be eligible for one of 5 - $500 travel awards to be drawn at the Awards Dinner.  You must be present at the Awards Dinner to win.
